Kathie Lee Gifford puts her foot in her mouth (as usual). She does an recurring segment on The Today Show called "Who Knew?" Here she is asking wedding guests questions about wedding traditions. One is Why Do You Wear Your Wedding Ring on Your Left Hand? Then she gives three possible answers. The third answer is, Pagans Thought It Was Unlucky to Wear Metal on Your Right Side. She interjects "The nasty, bad Pagans" into the question. It happens around the 4:40 mark in the video. What an ignorant twit.

Having watched Kathie Lee Gifford's recent segment of "Who Knew?" on The Today Show, I was appalled that she felt it was all right to interject "The nasty, bad pagans" into a question for the segment. As a pagan who is neither nasty nor bad, I would like to lodge a formal protest of the segment and its blatant misrepresentation of all pagans. I do not know any pagans who are nasty or bad. This type of characterization is a disservice to all pagans around the world and should not go unchallenged. Ms Gifford needs to realize that ad hoc attacks on an entire group of people she knows nothing about is not acceptable.

Be careful. There is a new scam going on. It involves a gang of pickpockets - usually 3 or 4 young members and an older one. The sweet, innocent-looking younger ones distract the mark while the older one sneaks in behing his/her back and riffles through their pockets or purse for cash.

Three weeks ago I had a Holter monitor done. (a 24-hour recording of my heart.) On Monday I called and finally got the results. It was abnormal. My doctor wanted me to make an appointment to see my cardiologist to see what he thinks I need to do about the results. I asked my doctor's office to fax the report to the cardiologist's office. Then I made an appointment with the cardiologist for this coming Monday.
On Wednesday I called the cardiologist's office to see if they had gotten the report. Nope. I called my family doctor's office and asked them again to fax the report. I told them my appointment is on Monday. I gave them the fax number.
On Thursday, I called the cardiologist's office again. Nope. No report yet. I called my family doctor's office ~again~ and asked them ~again~ to fax the report. Yes, she would take care of it.
Friday morning, I called the cardiologist office to see if the report had gotten there. Nope. Not yet. WTF?!? I called the doctor's office yet again. I reminded her that my appointment is on Monday. I gave her the fax number again. She would take care of it.
Friday afternoon, I called the cardiologist's office. Yes, they got a report. Unfortunately, it was the report of my cardiac catheterization, not the Holter monitor report. My cardiologist is the one who did the catheterization, so that office is where my family doctor got the report. ::eye roll::
I called the family doctor's office again. Why, yes, she sent the report herself. No, I said, you sent the wrong report. Oh... Well, the computer is down right now, so she'll have to wait until Monday morning to send the right report. I'm very proud of myself that I didn't explode all over this idiot. However, when I call the cardiologist's office one last time on Monday morning, if the report is not there, I'm not responsible for my reaction.
